The last few days have been a lot of fun. We celebrated Appreciate a Dragon day by watching Puff the Magic Dragon and talking about bravery and friendship. Then we made our own dragon masks and costumes. Here’s Angel dressed up as a dragon:
We also learned about healthy foods, like vegetables. While we were putting together a salad, Angel wanted to know why people put cucumbers on their eyes in spas. So we looked it up. Turns out that cucumbers lighten the skin, so they help make those dark bags disappear. Also, the ascorbic acid and caffeic acid in the cucumbers reduces swelling, which is why your eyes aren’t puffy after a cucumber treatment.
Healthy foods are great, but we all need a little junk food now and then. Last night we mixed and measured and melted and dipped, and we came up with chocolate peppermint cake pops. They were a great treat after dinner! Today was National Popcorn Day and Martin Luther King Junior Day, so we popped some kernels and added butter before sitting down to watch a movie about Martin Luther King Jr.
Can’t wait to see what kind of adventure we have tomorrow!
